10 February 2010: There is an element of desperation in the manner that India has tried to rope in Iran and Turkey to attempt to offset the advantages that Pakistan has gained over it on Afghanistan's future and security at the recently-concluded London conference. To quickly recap the London conference on Afghanistan's principal decision: This was to segregate the so-called "good Taliban" (meaning the lower tier of terrorists) from the bad (Mullah Omar, plus the back up Haqqani network and the Al-Qaeda) by bribing them to return to the mainstream of Afghan life and society, and militarily to then counter the "bad Taliban" through increasing/ expanding the intensity/ reach of the present drone campaign in FATA backed with special forces' actions.
