4 August 2010: The US Congress's Quadrennial Defense Review Independent Panel (QDRIP) has rightly concluded that Pakistan is "vulnerable" to becoming a Salafist fundamentalist state. But it is mistaken in arguing that this would be facilitated by an Iran-style revolution. The danger grows and peaks after an Al-Qaeda/ Taliban victory in Afghanistan over the US and NATO militaries that are forced to quit that country, and nobody, least of all India, is quite prepared for this.
