29 January 2010: For India, this is the moment of truth in Afghanistan. The Afghanistan conference hosted in London has disregarded Indian concerns about the Taliban. The conference, which is backed by the US, UK, other European powers, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Turkey, and so on, has agreed to attempt to split the Taliban and eventually move it away from the Al-Qaeda by bribing its members to secede from the jihadi terrorist movement. Pakistan and especially its terroristic intelligence service, the ISI, have insinuated themselves into the process, with active Saudi connivance, and India will see, at a minimum, its $1.3-billion humanitarian and development aid to Afghanistan turn to waste.
