26 December 2008: Pakistan is such a lying state that nobody believes its latest assertion that some Indian agents were behind the 24-December Lahore blast in which a woman was killed and several injured. Not only has a pro-Pakistan Taliban group called Ansar Wa Mohajir (but what's in a name?) claimed the blast to avenge US missile strikes in North Waziristan, but India itself has moved away from tit-for-tat retaliations knowledgeably since the mid-Nineties but operationally perhaps from far earlier. Indeed, the argument on the Indian side is that Pakistani establishment and non-establishment jihadis have taken advantage of this non-retaliatory character of the Indian state, with its terroristic apogee reached in Bombay.
